AP: Extention of APGLI Sheme to the Teaching and Non Teaching Staff of greater Vishakaparnam and Vijayavada Muncipal corporation

ORDER: In  the  reference 1st  read  above,  the Director  of  Insurance  informed thatGovernment  hadordered forpayment  of  salaries  and  pensions  through Treasuries  to  the  Municipal  Employees  includingthe Municipal  Teachers  in all  Municipalities  and  Municipal  Corporations vide  reference  2nd  to  5th  read above.  2. He  has  also stated that Government  have  issued  orders  vide  reference 6th  read  above  extending  the benefit  of  Andhra  Pradesh  Government  Life Insurance  (APGLI)  Scheme  to  the Municipal Employees,  including Municipal  Teachers,  whose  salaries  are  being drawn from  Treasuries  under S.H.010 Salaries  head  of Account,with the   exception  of   employees of Greater  Visakhapatnam  Municipal Corporation  and Vijayawada  Municipal Corporation. 3. In  the reference  1st  read  above,  the  Director  of Insurance,  has requested for  extension of the APGLI  Scheme to Teaching  and  Non-Teaching Staff working in  schools  in Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and  Vijayawada  Municipal Corporation on  par  with  other Municipalities  in the State  whose  salaries  are being  drawn through  Treasuries  under  010 Head  of  Account as  the recoveries  are  also receiving  from  the  respective Drawing and Disbursing Officers regularly.  

The  Government,  after  careful examination of the  proposal  of  the Director  of  Insurance,  hereby  orders  for  extending the  Andhra  Pradesh Government Life  Insurance  Scheme  to the  Teaching  and Non-Teaching  staff working  in the  Schools functioning  under  Greater  Visakhapatnam Municipal  Corporation and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation  with  effect from November 01, 2015.  5. The  Director  of  Insurance,  A.P., Hyderabad shall take  necessary action accordingly.  6.
