As per the New Education Policy, the frst 5 years of schooling consists of
two years of pre-primary and one year of preparatory 1st class along with class 1
& 2. In order to ensure that the foundational stage of 1st fve years of schooling
is strengthened, it is proposed to co-locate the AWC and Primary schools
wherever possible.
Hence the District Educational Ofcers are requested to issue instructions
to MEO’s to map the primary schools with anganwadi centers in their mandals in
the google spread sheet given below wherein the prelimeinary data will be auto-
populated as per child information system:

The Mandal Educational Ofcer have to update the following information and
furnish the following important on or before 13.05.2021 and in consultation with
project ofcer of ICDS concerned:
a. Extent of Site available within the school premises (cents).
b. Distance on the AWC from the school, AWC within the location.
c. Whether AWC has permanent building/Building under construction.
d. If any, natural barrier between the school and AWC (Highway, Railway
Track, Cannel, pond/tanks). (Yes/NO)
Therefore, all the District Educational ofcers are hereby requested to
constitute the special cell and issue instructions to Mandal Educational Ofcers
for updation the above google spread sheet on or before 13.05.2021 without fail.
Top priority should be given to this item of work. Any lapses in this regard will be
viewed seriously. If the Mandal Education Ofcer is on leave or in home isolation,
the work may be entrusted to a senior headmaster in the mandal duly giving him
the necessary MRC staf and if required CRPs also.
