The State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Andhra Pradesh, has issued an order regarding an Excursion Trip within the State and an Exposure Visit Out of the State for 3,892 elementary students. This initiative aims to enhance learning experiences through hands-on exposure to science and technology.

Budget Allocation

The Project Approval Board (PAB) 2024-25 has approved a total budget of ₹85,62,400, distributed as follows:

  • Excursion within the State: ₹200 per student (Total: ₹7,78,400)
  • Exposure Visit Out of the State: ₹2,000 per student (Total: ₹77,84,000)

Selection Criteria

  • One student per school, excelling in Science and Mathematics or having participated in the Mandal-level science fair.
  • Students who won prizes at the District Science Fair (2024-25) held from Dec 31, 2024, to Jan 4, 2025.
  • Teachers who participated in the District-Level Science Fair in the Teacher Project Category will act as escort teachers.
  • A female escort teacher is mandatory for every 10 girl students.

Objectives of the Visit

  • Expose students to hands-on science experiments and exhibits.
  • Encourage curiosity and interest in science and technology.
  • Provide a platform for interactive and immersive learning.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Pre-Visit Preparations

  • Destination Selection: Within the state, ensuring educational value and safety.
  • Student Selection: Preference for winners of Southern Science Fair 2025.
  • Parental Consent: Mandatory before participation.
  • Transportation & Accommodation: APSRTC vehicles are preferred for safety.
  • Team Formation: 1 Escort Teacher for every 10 students.
  • Medical Arrangements: First-aid kits and emergency contacts must be ensured.

During the Visit

  • Strict supervision by escort teachers.
  • Structured activities following the itinerary.
  • Emergency protocols in place for student safety.


Post-Visit Activities

  • Debriefing Session for students to reflect on their experiences.
  • Evaluation Report to assess the effectiveness of the trip.
  • Parental Feedback collection for future improvements.
  • Documentation with photos and reports.

District-Wise Budget Allocation

Each district has been allotted a specific budget based on the number of selected schools and students. The highest allocation goes to Kurnool (₹11,72,600), while Konaseema has the lowest (₹1,01,200).
